The Terracotta Museum reveals the history and process of the ceramics trade in La Bisbal d’Empordà. The Museum likewise serves to promote this industrial activity, which remains very much alive in the town.

The fact that the Museum is located in an industrial building serves to integrate a series of distinctive architectural elements of ceramics production within the narrative, such as the basins, chimneys, clay deposits and kilns.
