Tarragona Port Museum

Located in a former goods warehouse at the Moll de Costa dock, the Tarragona Port Museum is a cultural and leisure venue showcasing the commercial, fishing and sporting activities of the Port of Tarragona.

The Museum offers an interactive and immersive tour of a range of different experiences: discover a ship engine, steer a sailing boat on the Mediterranean, go fishing for a day from the same boat, or learn how the chemicals port works.

The Museum also includes archaeology, with an exhibition featuring shipwrecks from the 18th century discovered in the Port of Tarragona in 2012.

The offering for educational trips and family days out includes the multi-sensory “Blue Observatory: the fishing world of El Serrallo”, allowing visitors to enjoy the auction at the local Fish Market.

Outside, the Port of Tarragona Heritage Trail features a number of port infrastructure elements, along a sustainable four-kilometre route from the Museum as far as the La Banya lighthouse.
